Trailers Weekly: ‘Cosmopolis,’ ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful,’ ‘Frankenweenie,’ and ‘Gangster Squad’ Michael Lee, July 14, 2012December 27, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with so many trailers, so of course we will include our favorite ones this week, which includes Cosmopolis, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Frankenweenie and Gangster Squad.Cosmopolis Everything seems to be falling a part for Robert Pattinson. Driving out in his limo to go to his favorite barber for a trim, he loses all his money, he runs into a giant protest, he shoots his own hand, but he still manages to bring some ladies into his ride. The new David Cronenberg film stars Kevin Dunn and Paul Giamatti. Oz: The Great and PowerfulEver wonder how Oscar Diggs landed in the land of Oz. Well Sam Raimi will tell that story with the help from James Franco and Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz. Frankenweenie Tim Burton’s stop-motion animation take on the classic Victorian novel got the retro spin recently. The trailer plays off like the classic horror trailers that played decades ago. Gangster Squad WB has released another trailer for Ruben Fleischer’s Gangster Squad. Although much of the trailer plays out like the first one, this international trailer has a few new additions that make it worth a look. What did you think of this week’s trailers?
