After SEASON 1 of an Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time became a smash hit due to the demand fans had for more after its appearance on Community, the satire of the show about a certain Doctor found new life on the web. A 6-part series directed by Nick Acosta (Battle of Hogwarts, Riddance) came to fruition with the help of a dedicated fan base that wanted to see more of Travis Richey as The Inspector and the many adventures his friends would have with the Red B.O.O.T.H. . The popularity of the web-series has hit over 400,000 views with various translations and even had a presence at conventions such as WonderCon and the official Doctor Who Convention Gallifrey. Hit the jump to see more about the video and who the surprise guest star that appears in the video.
After deciding to shoot a prequel episode for season two, the creative team behind the series decided to make it a feature film as they were able to wrangle up some impressive talent to guest star:
From the site:
Uncle Roderick – The Seventh Doctor himself, Sylvester McCoy (“Doctor Who,” The Hobbit), will star as Uncle Roderick, an enigmatic part of the new cast of characters. His true identity is shrouded in mystery!
BERNARD – Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis) will be playing Bernard, the mysterious family physician… His true identity is ALSO a riddle to our hero!
ANNABELLE – Chase Masterson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Doctor Who Big Finish) will be playing Annabelle Wagner! This endearing sister also has an untold story! It’s smothered in secret sauce!
VOICE OF “RED” – Emmy-nominated actress Mayim Bialik (Blossom, Big Bang Theory) is providing the voice of The Inspector’s sentient time machine, the B.O.O.T.H.
With the talent (THE SEVENTH DOCTOR!) they hope to be able to go all out with the feature’s production. They have started an indiegogo campaign to be able to shoot more to show to investors. There are some excellent incentives to contribute such as walk-on roles and producer credits (for the higher donations) and for 5 bucks you can get your very own Inspector Spacetime ringtone!
