Unusual First Look At Quicksilver From “X-Men: Days of Future Past”

Kevin C, April 7, 2014April 7, 2014

X-Men Days Of Future Past starring Evan Peters, Hugh Jackman and James McAvoy

When so much of marketing depends on the exposure of your product; How the world sees the first movements of your characters in costume can set the tone for a movie’s future. There have been some recent rumblings of problems with Quicksilver and his look. Thanks to a Carl’s Jr. advertisement, we have our first look at the speedy character in action. Hit the jump to see this.

You might have seen the first Carls Jr. spot. That one included Mystique, but not Jennifer Lawrence, the actress that plays the character. That unusual commercial was featured in a recent Viral Video Roundup. Now, with a first look at Quicksilver, we have what seems to up the weirdness ante. Check out this new commercial:

If this is our first look at Quicksilver, this is a very troubling sign for Days Of Future Past indeed. When we should be seeing Evan Peters as Quicksilver under the most badass of circumstances, we’re instead seeing him eating a Carl’s Jr. bacon breakfast sandwich. This kind of thing feels like something that might come after the movie’s release. Do you think this is a good way to see Quicksilver for the first time?

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23rd, 2014.
