“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Clip: Beating Boxing Turtles Prepare To Battle The Shredder Michael Lee, August 6, 2014August 6, 2014 Paramount will be releasing a brand new iteration of the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this Friday. It’s been a little over thirty years since the first film hit theaters, and the Jonathan Liebesman-directed incarnation is the first to use the motion-capture technology and combine it with live action. Should the film be a huge success at the box office, this could mean that the newer generation could be seeing more of these turtles and less of the ones we remember from the 90s. Now to help promote the film, Paramount has released a brand new clip, which features our four heroes in a half shell amping themselves up for a battle against the Shredder by beat boxing. Hit the jump to check it out. I’ve already had my say about the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and while I may not have liked it as much as I would have hoped, the following clip is perhaps one of those moments where the film does shine through. You can check out my review here, and be sure to be on the look out for our interview with the cast and crew of the film later this week. The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Characters Created by PETER LAIRD and KEVIN EASTMAN with a Screenplay by JOSH APPELBAUM & ANDRÉ NEMEC and EVAN DAUGHERTY, Producer MICHAEL BAY (the blockbuster Transformers franchise) and director JONATHAN LIEBESMAN (Wrath of the Titans) bring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the popular franchise that has captivated audiences of all ages for decades, into the 21st century.
