Salt: Day X Exists Mission 8, “Sniper”, Now Live Dan Koelsch, July 7, 2010 As we previously reported, Columbia Picture’s Salt, starring Angelina Jolie, has an interactive story you can participate in at their official website. Every week there is a new mission, and last week Salt needed you secretly take photographs of a Day X package. This week, your shooting skills are put to the test. For those catching up, the premise of the game is that Evelyn Salt (Jolie), a government agent, is on the run for being suspected of being a sleeper agent. Part of the terrorist plot called “Day X” is the awakening of these sleepers. Salt is trying to clear her name, and needs your help to do so. In the pre-game video for this week’s mission, you learn that the chess code was instructions for a Day X initiation meeting and you have to stop it by killing the participants, hopefully ending Day X for good. After you kill everyone, everything goes to hell. You find out the people you shot were actually your coworkers on the Day X Task Force, and now the agency is after you. They don’t know your identity yet, but with only one more mission to go, you’ll need to clear your name and find out why Salt had you kill those men. Don’t forget about the hidden codes for extra points! You should be able to figure each out from the mission reports and other items on your “desk”. I don’t want to give them away, so head on over to Unfiction if you wish to cheat. Salt, starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber, is directed by Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, The Saint) and written by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair, Law Abiding Citizen) and Brian Helgeland (Conspiracy Theory, Robin Hood). See it in theaters on July 23rd. ARGs & Campaigns Viral Marketing Angelina JolieARGDay X ExistsSalt

Dan’s High Five: 5 Sequels That Actually Ruin the Original November 8, 2009November 14, 2009I’m declaring this sequel month for the High Five, so every week my list will have something to do with film franchises (or at least attempted franchises).
