New “Battle: Los Angeles” Viral Video and Facebook Game Dan Koelsch, February 17, 2011 The theatrical release of Columbia Pictures’ gritty alien invasion film Battle: Los Angeles is less than a month away, so we should start seeing a lot more content from the studio. Such is the case this week, as we have gotten a new video that fits into the viral campaign, as well as a Facebook game. The new video, seen below, was posted to the film’ Facebook page on Tuesday. Apparently the W.A.T.C.H. group has their own TV network, and they are broadcasting the beginnings of the attack. Of course, this being Sony, the “Battle: Los Angeles” branding is all over it. Speaking of W.A.T.C.H. and Facebook, the film has launched a game on the social networking site called “W.A.T.C.H. Ops”, in which you participate in battles every two days at specific times and cities. You can rise up the ranks to obtain exclusive content, and there’s a related sweepstakes that can get you some really cool Sony stuff, including a Playstation 3 and accessories. Check out the app page to try it yourself, and click here for the official rules.Let us know what you think of the game in the comments below!
