Alfonso Cuarón‘s Gravity clearly states that sound does not carry in space. And despite all the expensive high-tech equipment it takes us to get outside of Earth’s orbit, there was nothing Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) could have done to let the people down on Earth know that she could not get out of trouble.

Luckily, we have superheroes for that very occasion. Heroes like Superman, who can hear the cries of those in trouble from afar, and travel great distances in almost an instant. So how would he have saved Dr. Stone from the catastrophe that occurred in space? Hit the jump to find out.
