Following last week’s release of the heroes of the Capitol posters, which depicted ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things. Of course there was a subtle message when it came to these posters, for which we saw child labor, amputees, tyranny, and all kinds of imagery. Now Lionsgate has released a new viral video to help promote the film, which features a stern yet calm President Snow (Donald Sutherland) addressing the nation of Panem after the fallout of Catching Fire. But he isn’t alone. He is joined by Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who doesn’t quite look like he did in the first two films. The faux website for the nation, the ID cards, everything that we have seen from the marketing for this film was created to help fans have a fun Hunger Games experience.In the video we see President Snow trying to unite the nation of Panem after the events of Catching Fire, which saw the rise of a revolution of unhappy citizens. Snow attempts to bring Panem together by sending them a message of hope, that all of the districts’ hard work helps not only the Captiol, but themselves as well, and that in return they protect their citizens.But President Snow also issues a stern warning, that those who resist the system will only hurt themselves. As we get to this portion of the video, the camera slowly pans back to reveal Peeta, who seems to be acting as President Snow’s bodyguard. It also looks like there is social media in Panem.
