Feedback: What did you think of Avatar? Dan Koelsch, December 18, 2009December 26, 2009 James Cameron’s 3D epic Avatar released last night at midnight to a solid $3 million, and it looks to take in at least $70 million for the weekend. We have our review up, and the critics seem to love it, but what really matters is what YOU think. For those who have seen the film, what’s your take? Is it as revolutionary as Iain says, or is it just Fern Gully in 3D? Was this just a giant waste of 10 years for Cameron, or will this be the next Titanic? Let us know what you think in the comments below. Reviews Avatar
“Lincoln” Review: America’s Strength Defined By Story Of Rigtheousness & Equality November 8, 2012November 16, 2012There are so very few great storytellers in our generation. So many of the films that fill our theaters are just generic dull sequels or adaptations and a lot of the time these films become forgotten because another sequel or adaptation comes along. Once in a while however there are… Read More
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Review February 18, 2012February 18, 2012The first Ghost Rider movie may have sucked, but the character made it worth watching. Ghost Rider is just the definition of badassery when it comes to Marvel’s antiheroes, and at least that was established in the first movie. He holds his popularity solely on his looks and style. This… Read More

I honestly loved it. The visuals and the special effects is undoubtedly the strong point of the film. The 3D is used in such a great way, it doesn’t pop out at you, it uses a sense of dynamic range to immerse you into the film. I’ll be honest, when I first saw the trailers for this film I was a little skeptical about the overall visual experience, but it turned out that Cameron and his visual team captured everything in the world of Pandora perfectly. The story and plot was obviously not groundbreaking, it was very close to plots like some of the old western movies or even Pocahontas, but it was a great companion to the film as if you needed a familiar story to help immerse yourself in the film.
A-The story used a little to much tropes, but it was still pretty damn good. James Cameron at his best and peak of his career. Hell I had this movie all wrong I was expecting to see a dark setting but instead got a beautiful one. People clapped so hard at the end, harder than War of the Worlds or any other movie. The ending fight is one I’ll never remember oh and also: it’s the only movie to make me cry. Try to wrap that around your head.
Sorry, thought Avatar was a total waste of time. Walked out and demanded my money back a little past three quarters thru it. Didn’t get my money back, but, at least got the chance to vent. They should have used the money to make this dog to feed the children of the world !!!Just my opinionJohn
I BASICALLY THOUGHT THE MOVIE DEPICTED THE WAY THE WHITE MAN LIKE TO INVADE ON NATIVE PEOPLES TERITORY AS USUAL. THE CHARACTERS SEEMED TO BE SPEAKING SOME FORM OF NATIVE AMERICAN LANGUAGE AND EVEN HAD A COUPLE OF NATIVE WAR CRY THRU OUT THE MOVIE. IT REMINDS MES BASICALLY OF THE WAY “THE WHITE MAN LOVES TO TAKE OVER SHIT NOW HES ON A DIFFRENT PLANET DOING IT”.
