New District 9 Poster and Earlier Trailer Debut

Dan Koelsch, July 6, 2009July 6, 2009

The film blogs are smitten with the new District 9 poster that Sony debuted today on Yahoo. It has what everyone wanted – bigger ship, smaller sign, and no purple sky. I don’t think it’s a big deal, personally, but I do agree it’s an upgrade.

New District 9 Poster

Some more good news from Yahoo. The site will debuting the new trailer on Wednesday, two days ahead of the original expected date of Friday. You can still see the trailer in theaters in front of Bruno of course, but why wait? Of course, MovieViral will have a complete review and breakdown of the trailer on Wednesday.

District 9 opens August 14th. See our District 9 page for more info.

So what do you think of the new poster?
