Trailers Weekly: Machete, Inception, A-Team and More! Dan Koelsch, May 8, 2010June 6, 2010 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have a special Cinco De Mayo trailer for Machete, the latest trailer for Inception, a look at the unique indie Rubber, an interactive Robin Hood trailer, and character spots for The A-Team members. See them all after the break. My favorite, and possibly the most talked about, trailer of the week was for Robert Rodriguez’s action movie Machete (9/3/10) starring Danny Trejo. If you saw 2007’s Grindhouse, you should remember the fake trailer at the beginning. The buzz was strong, so Rodriguez made an actual film, using the same characters and all. They released a trailer (using both original and new footage) for the real film on Cinco De Mayo as a special message to Arizona and their new controversial immigration law. Inception (7/16/10) saw it’s latest trailer attached to Iron Man 2 this weekend, and it’s got everyone talking. All four main characters for A-Team (7/11/10), Murdock, Baracus, Faceman, and Hannibal, each got their own TV spots this week. Check out B.A.’s below. Quentin Dupieux’s indie film Rubber is set to premiere at Cannes this year, and it’s about a killer tire. No joke. Robin Hood opens next weekend, and we now have an interactive trailer that gives you some behind the scenes featurettes as they correspond to the points in the trailer. Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites, and to watch at least some of the ones above in HD.
