Strange Noises Heard Around The World Could Have Scientific Explanation Dan Koelsch, January 27, 2012January 27, 2012 Earlier this week, we reported on a phenomenon sweeping the Internet in which strange noises were heard around the world. These roars/groans from the sky are a bit frightening, which may have contributed to videos of the occurance flooding YouTube (along with many hoaxes). While we considered the idea that the sounds were some kind of marketing ploy, we now have at least one scientific explanation that might resolve this issue. Find out after the jump. I was surfing YouTube last night when I found the video below. It’s a news report from Canadian channel CTV that talks about the sounds. The professor in the clip explains that the sounds are coming from the Aurora Borealis (aka the Northern Lights) causing electromagnetic noise within nearby environmental antennas. It sounds a bit like the Roswell weather ballon explanation to me, especially since these noises have not been heard before (at least not recently, since this is the first time the Internet has been up in arms about it). What do you think? Is this a good explanation? Viral Marketing Viral News Cloverfield 2GodzillaStrange NoisesViral video

Ice breaking? I live surrounded by glaciers and have NEVER heard ice make a sound even close to that? Roaring like that? Maybe you havent heard all the different sounds-I dont think ice could make a sound like that ever….but who knows…
Here’s the REAL thruth!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cszPz09Od6Q&list=UUi2lfF2HqTmEDFW3mAc2Jng&index=1&feature=plcp
I have heard the normal sounds that some have reported from northern lights, and it was nothing like whats being heard. The intensity of a CME required to make anything even close to those sounds would wipe out all electronics planetwide. The most plausible explanation Ive heard/read comes from a very questionable source, but in short they stated that these are the sounds heard prior to the pole shift as the mantle of the earth destabilises, and the sounds are transmitted through the earths crust. This is paraphrasing mind you, not their exact wording. If this is a marketing ploy by JJ Abrams for his new movie, Cloverfield 2 which in one of the trailers sounded reminiscent of the recordings, then he’s going over the top on this.I hope to hear this in person while we’re flowing a well so I can get some downhole pressure readings while it happens. If it is a pole shift warm up…yeah…lock and load and get the hell out of the cities. LOL! Brush up on survival/hunting skills…provided one survives.
I still say HAARP has ALOT to do with it. There are five facilities with the same radio capabilities. The US owns two in Alaska and one in puerto rico, which would explain why they are being heard in other places besides where the auroras are visible. I came across this video that would explain a little more…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo-T_KvLNdQ&feature=related
I was just thinking about the rapid melt of an ice cube in a warm cup of water it groans in much the same way and I Was thinking a super large scale one would sound similar
Ok, listen. This explanation is BS, for a couple of reasons: 1. The sounds are being heard in areas where auroras don’t occur. 2. We have seen solar flares before, and without the noise.
Im no expert in nature or man made disasters but I agree with you when it had to do with the sun flares more people must have known that. I heard it its pretty funny my boyfriend and i thought our friends called us crazy so we didnt call anyone to say do you hear that noise outside I regret it now. I regret it because I know now we were not the only one (in the world) never thought other people from other countries would hear it to but its a relief also because now I know I dont search for ghots LOL im not the only one who heard it and it is not normal. If someone knows the answer or has an explenation or heard it please tell me.Ps I live in Holland
One thing that puzzles me slightly is that if these sounds are so loud and obvious, why, in all the videos I have watched so far have there never been any other people coming out of their houses to see what’s going on. Its mostly just film of an empty street, or stretch of country side. I would expect to see people coming out of their houses to listen. I have to say tho, I am a little bit spooked by it all.
This explanation makes no sense because they are hearing the sounds all the way down in Florida. This is no hoax. There were thousands of people at a Florida baseball game who heard the sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEvXII4ntZQHere is a better scientific explanation for what is going on. The magnetic poles are reversing and because of that there are cracks in our magnetic shield. Solar flares may be getting buy those cracks and making the sounds we are hearing. Here is an explanation from NASA. http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2003/03dec_magneticcracks/Here are the similar sounds as solar flares hit Jupiters atmosphere. Jupiter does not have as strong a magnetic field as earth, so the sound you hear is the flares getting past it’s shield.http://youtu.be/e3fqE01YYWs
its because Planet X is getting closer and our magnetic fields are getting all jacked up. Go type in planet x at youtube. Fair warning, you might not want to know what planet x can do to us. It comes into our solar system every 3600 years. Gee, isn’t that when Noaha built the ark? Just say’in.
3600 years ago? try 20,000 to 50,000 (current estimate) but yea… there IS evidence that we may have been visited several times by this so called planet x and yes, it may have a lot of bearing on the history of humankind on our Planet…. this is NOT to say that God (the actual Creator of the universe did not have a had in it as well) when and if we are visited my UFO dudes this year…. it does not mean that the Bible is a load of crap. We just don’t know how God went about putting us on this planet and we should not let the UFO dudes shake our fait. Jesus tell us that in the ‘last days’ we will be told that “He has arrived” but it will be “B.S.” … ok maybe in not those words but you get the idea… a lot of way out things are supposed to happen in the last days so sit back and enjoy the show and by the way Psalm 91 was written for the times to come (soon):)
The professor from the college said the noises are normal and that we have had them all along. I wonder what government official paid him off. Think about it, We have all lived in this world for how many years, and people are around the world saying for the first time they are hearing theses noises. It cannot be a normal occurence if people around the world are just now hearing it. Think for your selves.
Actually, Norman is right about the timing. If you believe according to the Bible, then you should also know that according to its scripture the Earth is only about 6000 yrs old. As for the rest, I’m with ya about enjoyin the show…Its gonna be a good one.
