More Images Revealed Through “Discovering Prometheus” Facebook App Dan Koelsch, April 5, 2012April 5, 2012 The new Discovering Prometheus Facebook app for Ridley Scott’s much-anticipated Alien prequel Prometheus promises to unfold “exclusive reveals” in following weeks. Get the details after the break. The app features a 3D star map similar to the one seen in clips and stills for the film. As the various celestial objects move around in their orbits, you can select the blue one that says “Week 1”. The other red orbiting objects have countdowns until they are unlocked. Selecting the available object brings up a navigation bar that has the film’s trailer, a few still images (like our header above and the image below), as well as a few GIFs. The app promises more to come in its description: JOIN THE “DISCOVERING PROMETHEUS” JOURNEY WHERE YOU WILL BE LED TO EXCLUSIVE REVEALS AND ACTIVITIES FROM THIS GROUNDBREAKING MYTHOLOGY We’ll have to wait and see if this ties into the Prometheus viral campaign, but check out the app to see if there are any hidden clues. Prometheus opens in theaters on June 8th. Apps ARGs & Campaigns Social Networks Viral Marketing AppFacebookPrometheus
