Sacha Baron Cohen’s General Aladeen From “The Dictator” Responds to Oscar Ban Michael Lee, February 24, 2012February 24, 2012 The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences aren’t big fans of Sacha Baron Cohen’s antics and fearing that he could make some sort of publicity stunt to promote The Dictator, they have decided to ban him from from the prestigious event. Course if Cohen can guarantee that he won’t make a scene then he is more then welcome to join the festivities, but that is NOT likely to happen. So Cohen has decided to have a little fun with the free publicity he is getting and in character as General Aladeen from the great Republic Of Wadiya, has come out with a response of his own. Hit the jump to see the video. You got to love how Admiral General Aladeen retitiled the AMPAS to Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Zionists. He even a retitled a couple of movies (When Harry Kidnapped Sally, You got Mail Bomb Planet of the Rapes) or the swipes at Hilary Swank and Brett Ranter. The later of the two deserves a few hits. Overall I think this is much better than the trailer and Super Bowl spot itself.Directed by Larry Charles (Borat), The Dictator opens May 11, 2012. Anna Faris, B.J. Novak, Aasif Mandvi, and Jason Mantzouakas also appear. Viral News Viral Videos Academy AwardsParamount PicturesSacha Baron CohenThe Dictator
