Kickstart This Nolan-Inspired “Batman” Fan Film Caleb Hamilton, June 8, 2012June 8, 2012 In the months leading up to the announcement of Christopher Nolan’s final Batman picture, the internet was buzzing with news that one of the villains in the film would be The Riddler. In fact, Warner Bros. did want The Riddler in the movie and for him to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Of course now we know that didn’t happen. The Dark Knight Rises picks up eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, so what happened to Gotham and Batman in that time? Batman: Puppet Master wants to answer that question, but the crew needs a bit of help.Batman: Puppet Master is a fan film inspired by Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise. It takes place after The Dark Knight, a manhunt for Batman is unsuccessful and the Gotham PD brings in a FBI agent, Edward Nigma (aka The Riddler), to help catch him. Edward Nigma has never failed to catch a criminal before, but this case holds greater interest for him: he wants unmask Batman. In this project you’ll see Nolan-inspired takes on several classic Batman villains such as The Riddler, Victor Zsaz and The Ventriloquist/Scarface. Below you can watch a pitch of the project as well as an animatic that will give a hint of the film’s tone. This seems like a very cool project and would love to see it finished, but In order for that to happen, the filmmakers need to raise $8000 by 6:22 PM EDT next Wednesday, June 13th! So far they have 22 backers and have raised a total of $1,006. In the video, you heard a few of the very cool incentives you can get for donating, including some Batarangs, the Scarface puppet and the bat suit used in the film. You can also get your name in the credits as a producer! Check out the official page for more info. Fan Made Work Viral Marketing BatmanKickstarterViral marketing

love the video. one thing. In the Nolan Universe, No one calls Batman the Dark Knight except Gordon. So Edward Nigma would say how do you get the bat out of his cave or into the light instead.
This shit is soo gay, it’s almost an insult to Nolan’s franchise to try to compare it to it. All you did was take shitty rumored plot ideas that were already circling the internet back in 08 and just made a shitty corny riddler. Jesus Christ, why are you fans so short sighted?! Stop trying to make the Riddler a one up of the Joker!!! fuckin A. Not only did you make a gay batman film but you ultimately failed to portray the Riddler as the factual Riddler!!!Here’s a riddle, Question: How do you successfully put the Riddler in a batman film and not have him seem like a watered down joker wanna be? Answer: You make sure a fan boy has nothing to do with the production.
