The Vulture Makes Front Page News On “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” Viral Site Michael Lee, April 4, 2014April 4, 2014 The lack of interesting news on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 viral site wasn’t even worth mentioning. Though it appeared just to be trolling, the site was a nice way to bridge the gap between Marc Webb’s superhero sequel and the first film. Second and third-tier character appeared on the site ranging from Shocker and Puma to Miles Warren aka The Jackal and Spencer Smythe the creator of the Spider Slayers. Now a new update is of greater interest then those villains because the trailers and clips have alluded to him. Adrian Toomes makes an appearance in the latest edition of The Daily Bugle tumblr post, and he doesn’t look like he will be staying in OsCorp’s employment for very long. Hit the jump to read the full post.In an unexpected setback, Oscorp Industries failed to secure a contract for the development of a flying suit with the United States military. Sources say the international conglomerate had been so confident of landing the contract they had already hired a congratulatory skywriting message over New York City that read: “Oscorp soars to success!”Government sources hinted that the contract intended for military aerial reconnaissance and infiltration landed with a Los Angeles-based conglomerate with offices in Manhattan. Oscorp spokesman, Donald Menken, had no comment. The losing bid repudiates two decades worth of research in electromagnetic anti-gravity conducted by Oscorp robotics division engineer, Dr. Adrian Toomes. When asked what this development meant for Toomes, Menken simply rolled his eyes and replied “Really? Why are you even asking me? No comment.”This isn’t the first time that the viral marketing site has alluded to the trailer. A few months back the viral site wrote about Doctor Octopus. These villains and their suits or powers are all some how connected, and if Sony is really hinting at long awaited cinematic battle between Spider-Man and the Sinister Six, it would make a lot of sense to see all of this come together. It should be interesting to see if any of these characters that appeared on the viral site, makes a cameo appearance in the film itself. The film is already chock full of them, but a cameo appearance – one better than the mystery man that appeared at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man one would be preferable. What do you guys think? The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in theaters on May 2.It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
