“Wish I Was Here” Makes Personalized Trailer For Each Kickstarter Backer Christopher Moore, May 19, 2014May 19, 2014 I’m not ashamed to say that I contributed to Zach Braff‘s Kickstarter campaign for his new film, Wish I Was Here. I loved his directorial debut Garden State and I was interested in seeing what he would create in his follow-up and companion piece to his earlier film. For those like me who contributed, Braff just released his new full trailer for the film and he found a way to personalize it for each Kickstarter backer. Check out the trailer after the break to see how he did this.For those who pledged money to his campaign, a link was given based on each person’s email that allows for a specialized introduction, where Braff gives a specific “Thank You” to that person. Here’s my video introduction along with the trailer: Despite what you might think about Braff‘s Kickstarter campaign, I think this is a unique and cool way of giving special recognition to each backer as well as a great way to spread the word about his film. Due to the customized intro, people will be willing post this personalized trailer on their different forms of social media.
